Prayer Of Adam Poem by Alexander Foald

Prayer Of Adam

Through the night here we are walking
Waiting until the dawn breaks our dream
And wake us up in the middle of nowhere
But a place in which there is only you and me

And my heart will never let you go off its road
Coming all the way up and down only to get you home
Think that the jewels in your eyes are far prettier than those skies
Above our pompous selves, I lower my head and I can see clearly
How much your beauty can be compared to those of heavenly made

Am I your dream-come-true lover you’ve been waiting for the whole life?
How long my lovely night can last before I say goodbye to yesterday?
Did you close your eyes when we kiss each other and feel the same way for another?
When did you let your heart fall into the yearning well of my ungracious face?

May we end up waving to each other without saying anything
I’m closing my mind and I’ll meet you wherever I want to
So many things can happen, you’ll be the first I ever hope to see
And love will put us together back in the godless garden of the beginning
