You’ve sought for love that cannot cease
You’ve sought the world for fame
Yet God alone has brought you peace
When Jesus bore your shame
So grateful that you see the light
So glad you understand
You’ve gladly taken up life’s fight
Within your Saviour’s hand
By faith your joy in Christ is found
Your laughter’s sweet and loud
In church you stand on hallowed ground
But not to please the crowd
You see the burdens and the tears
You see the lack of grace
You see the weak consumed with fears
And seek The Father’s face
You see the wrongs the deeds not right
Confusion here and there
Knowing that all is in God’s sight
You kneel in silent prayer
Your heart is given to The Lord
The foe is held at bay
Within your hand belongs the sword
To whom you kneel and pray
Contrary to God’s Lamb and Son
You see God’s children fade
Praying The Father’s will be done
May see a prophet’s made
Regardless what the titles are
How high the great reward
Walk the way of The Morning Star
And live to serve your Lord
