ORDINATION

it's important that you go naked
among the flowers of the field
throwing off the normal lie
it's important that you be kind
to resurrect the lovers pressed low
waiting for the bashing era to pass
it's important that you find a key
in the cycle of leaves and discover
that courage waits shy in quiet places
it's important that you maintain a pet joy
lest you allow fears to cower you
suicidal in cerebral dungeons
it's important that you share your bounty
of heart and stars overflowing
your chart on a clear winter night
a canoe passed upside down on a car roof
joyously it bends through the bamboo rain
it's most important to be aware
