Presenting: One's Image Poem by Adeline Morris

Presenting: One's Image

Rating: 3.0

A leaf's stem revealing to us
its connections to another's-
nostalgia opening the doors
to the emerging auburn leaves.

Will you be walked upon?
Shuffle about to a further green
and be one's medicine,
one's heavenly healer.

Nighttime can be unsettling,
but your vibrance
will act as a bridge
that dissolves into a morning,
whose hands caress an image of purity and mirth.

It appears as if you have
retrieved this leaf from a wind's gust.
Could this be the past, what has fallen behind?
Are we referring to what lies ahead?
Both zones enter through you.

But can anyone truly comprehend
each brain's visiting hours?
