Pretend Poem by Talisha Hetrick

Pretend

I'll preted you didn't see me looking at you too.
I'll pretend you'll always like me and I'll pretend I'll never like you.
I'll pretend when you're around me,
All I want is friends.
I'll pretend when your arms brush against mine,
it was just the coldness that caused them.
I'll pretned that when I look at you, square in the eyes,
that I'm searching for the truth that lies within.
I'll pretend that I never liked you, although I always will.
I'll pretend you'll never like me,
even though it's a fact that is true.
