Pride Poem by RaShawn Ince

Pride

Even though I'm so young, you never tell me that you're proud.
And every time I say I love you, you just tell me I'm too loud.
And then tears fall down my face and they all hear me shout.
But now I'm all grown up, how you like me now?
But back then, you were never there just to make me smile.
I really needed you then, I was your only child.
But now I'm pass that, I'm grown up, I'm just so proud.
Cuz I'm a real man and I will never let my son down!
Every morning i would wake up and run to my parents room.
But you was never there, you wouldn't get in until noon.
And then you'd tell me 'you will never succeed in life'.
But now I'm making a million a year with a beautiful wife.
So now I pop my collar.
And I brush my shoulder.
Because I'm a father.
And it's still not over.
Cuz I give all the young boyz and girlz.
In the neighborhood cuz I would never give up on this world!
