Progression Poem by Waylon Harper

Progression

Rating: 3.0

I've been no where
Seems I'm going there too
At least I'm going there with you
Day to Day, we sow

Done nothing wrong
But didn't do it right
This trip will be a fight
Day to Day, we grow

The past haunts me now
The present seems unreal
The future sits so still
Day to Day, we row

Dying for cross-cut
Old dreams slipping fast
While paying for our past
Day to Day, we owe

Can't abide our culture's quest
Seems that we have been mislead
A thought that leaves me seeing red
Day to Day, we grow

The past haunts me now
The present, it reveals
The future is just a hill
Day to Day, we go
