Proof Poem by Neso Onyeuche

Proof

Subtle stripes like faded dye
stain my face each dawn.
relics of a sleepless night;
evidence I mourn.

Bags of guilt pull down each eye
shutting them in vain.
tugging at my lids all day;
evidence I'm sane.
