Prudence, the first P of life
A wise and steady stride
She guides us on our journey
With a voice that's sharp and sly
She whispers in our ears
And cautions us to think
Echos of her warnings
A gentle tick, tick, tick
Pain, the second P of life
A pounding, throbbing beat
It fills us up with sorrow
And knocks us off our feet
The cry of agony
A piercing, shrieking sound
It echoes through the darkness
A mournful hound, hound, hound
Pleasure, the third P of life
A symphony of joy
It dances in our hearts
And makes us feel alive
The laughter that it brings
A bubbling, joyful noise
It echoes through the air
A happy, giddy poise, poise, poise
People, the fourth P of life
They come in all shapes and sizes
Some lift us up, others bring us down
They're full of surprises
Their voices ring out loud
In a chorus of chatter
A symphony of humanity
A constant, buzzing patter, patter
Places, the fifth P of life
They hold our memories dear
From mountains high to oceans deep
Each one has its own sphere
The rustle of leaves in a park
The crashing of waves on the beach
They're all part of life's symphony
A lesson that they teach, teach, teach
Things, the sixth P of life
They come and then they go
Some are shiny, some are dull
But each one has a show
The crackle of a fire
The purr of a car's engine
They all play their part
In this grand, chaotic mission, mission, mission
Prudence, Pain and Pleasure
People, Places, Things
They're all a part of life
These symphonies they bring
So listen to the music
In every P you hear
For life's sweet symphony
Is a melody so dear, dear, dear.
