Psalm 37 Poem by Parker Perrella

Psalm 37

I am yours, God.
What else can I say?
Where else can I go?
I trust in you alone.

Your righteousness shines like the dawn,
Your justice like the noonday,
I shall dwell in your presence forever,
And commit to you all of my ways.

I wait expectantly,
And my ears hear this command behind me:
"This is the way. Walk in it." (Is.30: 21)
I turn from the evil that is before me.

My God, your Word is a light to my path,
My steps do not falter,
You are my refuge and my help-
Faithful forever.

Though I stumble, I will not be overwhelmed
For you hold my hand,
You, O Lord, love justice,
And your faithful ones you shall never abandon.

I am yours, God.
What else can I say?
Where else can I go?
I trust in you alone.
