Pull Me Up Poem by Nightshade Starlight

Falling, falling until there is nothing,
Landing hard and flat.
There is no way to get back up,
And there is time that needs to heal.
Time to be able to bring myself together again,
And finally pull myself back onto my feet.

Pain shoots through my heart,
Spreading into every muscle,
Until I fall again, but this time is different.
This time you were able to break me.
This time there is no way that I can bring myself up again.
This pain is too much and I have no desire
To pull myself together again.

I lay there and wait for something to happen.
I lay there and see nothing at all.
The click of footsteps sounds in my ears,
And I know that someone is coming.
I look up and I can see u bend down to look at me,
Your eyes full of sadness and misery.
You grab my arms and pull me up into you.
Carefully holding me like I could break.

You were able to pull me up again,
I just hope that you won't be my downfall.
