Punctuation's Trial Poem by Ulysses Bandi

Punctuation's Trial

I placed a Period before a Comma
And I was interjected by an
Insolent Exclamation mark
That trounced upon my

Grammatical finesse.
I decided to pursue
This matter in the
Court of Grammatical

Law, where Colons,
Semi-colons and Inverted
Commas were present
In all their hue and splendour;

The judge dismissed the
Case right away on
Grounds of being a
Grammatically incorrect

Case from the prosecution.
I rested myself and the case,
And decided to head to the
Parlour of Grammar

Just opposite the Parenthesis
Square and beside the
Old Hypen's Den.
I was there for a Period.
