Punctured Poem by Oladapo Oladosu

Punctured

You love me?
So said the man before you and the one before him
All left with a hole
Till my heart can't hold back emotions
Like a sieve can't hold back water.

You can't stop thinking about me?
These words once got my heart
Until I know the tongues that spoke them
Are soaked in distrust.

You promise not to be like them?
Promises and deception are the same
In men's world.
And for once I believe all men are the same.
