Punjabi Man Poem by Preze Reese

Punjabi Man

Yourself is what you put first
All your cares and desires
Stem from you and represent you

If your attitude could be different
Yourself you would not be
Yet you cling to some part of me

In the back of your head
Resembles something you need to see
Tough you are yet you show emotion elsewhere

You understand your feelings but your culture is priority
Planting your seed I cannot sprout anything for you
However you can lay between me

Lose focus while there and find comfort there
My touch is allowed there though restrictions police there
I have kissed there but not frequent

If time would permit without telling itself
Resting I could see of you
Your body does an upward thrush and up away you go
