Pure Love Poem by Bill Kamen

Pure Love

All alone in the darkness, feeling empty
where the land meets the sea.
I look back on a memory
of that summer place
somewhere, somewhere only we knew.

Sunsets at the shoreline,
dancing in the dark,
you were my lighthouse
with your guiding light,
always there, forever beckoning.

With the sea at your feet,
you strayed into my arms,
and there you stayed,
with the raging sea, the untamed waves
crushing your heart.

Oh girl, with each new day,
you gave love a new meaning.
Your love was so pure,
I saw it in your eyes
and felt it from your heart

You made it so easy
the way you did,
the things you did.
your warm embraces,
your graceful smiles,
made me feel your love

Pure love, pure love,
you gave me pure love.
