Questions Poem by Reanna Thornton

Questions

Tired and sore
Teeth throbbling
Blood cries out to me.

Lust and rage run
Through my body
Like a wild fire
With no sense of relief.

I know I am the forsaken one
Forced to walk the earth alone.
Am I the only one
That carries this curse?

Forced to watch society
From the outside
Protection I give them
From the evils that they can't see.

Blood coursing
Threw my veins
Cry to others like me
Will they answer?

Centuries asleep
Waiting for one to wake me.
Will they show themselves
And come rescue me?

Energy flows
Threw my body,
I can feel them near
But yet they don't stop to wake me.
What do they fear?

The rush of energy
Stirs my soul.
Someone is near
And has stopped near me.

Will they be the one
To wake me from my prison?
Will they be the one
To breathe life into my spirit?

Will they release me?
