Quiet End Poem by Maryam Hilal Hilal

Quiet End

Our meetings ended without goodbye,
so many words were left untried.
I had so much I wished to say,
never knew you'd leave this way.
You walked away, my world stood still,
your silence hurts me deeper still.
Your words live on inside my mind,
your memories are hard to bind.
I try to free my heart, my head,
from all the things we never said.
Yet every breath, both night and day,
you stay with me, though you're away.
