Rains Music - Poem by Mauricio Campos

The Moon Now Consoles
As Lightning Strikes
And Thunder Rolls.
The Wet, Lonely Streets
Once Crawling With Forms
Now Seek Shelter
From The Violent Storms.
This Constant Pattern
Of Raindrops Falling
Lulls Me To Sleep,
Like The Ocean Calling
And I'm Front Row.
Enjoying The Sounds
Of The Water's Journey
To My House It Pounds
Dominant, But Polite,
Brings A Cascade Of Thought
In The Absence Of Light.
So, I Quietly Admire
The Beating Of Rain
While I Fall Asleep,
Again And Again.
