Rainwater Poem by bob barci

Rainwater

Rainwater from the sky
landin’ on my skin
grant me a wish
as fast as you can.
Rainwater, rainwater,
wash me down,
take away the blues
that plague me day to day.
Rainwater fresh, rainwater clean
basking in the afterglow
is where I want to be.
Rainwater, rainwater,
from the sky,
take my heart, take my soul.
Fill me with the innocence of a child.
And when the rain stops,
may I see magic in the afterglow.
Rainwater, rainwater,
now that you’re gone,
I’ll smile as I pray
for you to come back soon.
