Rainy Day Life Poem by Cory Huennekens

Rainy Day Life

What can I do? What can I do
When the rain and the clouds come,
What can I do?
Am I a giant that I can see over all
Or so divine I can calm a squall?
The clouds may be gentle
And let loose but a sprinkle,
Or they may pour like mad
Dumping all the water they had.
I am too small to understand such things
Yes I am the smallest of all human beings
And so since I find no other way
I’ll simply sit alone
And try to enjoy the rainy day.
