Rainy Days Poem by Bill Hallsworthy

Rainy Days

Rating: 5.0

</></></>Dark clouds roll in as the rain starts to fall,
your voice calling my name through the growing storm,
echos silence and I pick your direction,
know this time not to listen to my emotions,
so I head the other way into the darkness,
I feel heartless and wonder if there's another way,
but not today, not tomorrow,
will I find shelter from the rain and say,
I want to be with you always,
for I am a soldier in plain clothes,
fighting for a freedom that I don't deserve,
lieing to people that I am not hurt, damaged, faulty,
why did I pick this from infinite possibilities?
suffering and sorrow surround as thunder pounds my brain,
and I reluctantly descend to the ground... and accept the rain.
