Ramadan Closing Supplication Poem by Mystic Qalandar

Ramadan Closing Supplication

O Forgiver of all that falters,
Beloved of mercy,
You whose nature is to pardon—
let Your forgiveness
fall upon me like gentle rain.
My Lord,
do not let this be
the last season
in which our souls tasted
the dawns of fasting.
Before this sacred moon
slips beyond our horizon,
O Allah,
loosen the chains from our necks
and free us from the Fire.
Have mercy, my Lord,
upon the silent tears
that gather in our eyes
as Ramadan prepares to depart.
On the Night when destinies are written,
write for us a story
beautiful with Your grace.
Do not turn us away,
O Keeper of Mercy,
from the threshold of Your door.
Transform what is written for us,
O Lord,
into the most radiant of endings.
Mend the quiet fractures
in our hearts
as this blessed guest
bids us farewell.
Let us not walk away from Ramadan
except as souls forgiven,
our burdens lifted
by the breeze of Your mercy.
Grant us a tear, my Lord—
a single tear
that washes the dust of every sin
from the mirror of our souls.
Count us among those
whose repentance
You have already embraced today.
Let us reach the Night of Power
while Your acceptance
already surrounds us.
Place us among those
who awaken beneath Your pleasure
and wander freely
in the gardens of Paradise.
Answer, O Lord,
the prayer that rises quietly
from the deepest chamber
of our hearts.
And return this luminous month to us again—
year after year—
so our souls may once more
drink from its river of mercy.
