Rapture Poem by Ella Roussel

Rapture

Rating: 4.5

The country in which I live feels foreign to me
So many sleeping people I do see
Allowing corrupt policy
To take away our liberty.

The constitution seems all but gone
With not much that can be done.

But there is always reason to have hope
When you stand and say nope.

Because as much as they seem to have power
They're loosing it by the hour
There is an awakening that I see
I hope you take a stand with me.

To stand and say life has value
That everyone matters including me and you
And no amount of corruption
Will never mean we give up soon
As long as one stands and fights
We have a reason to shout with all our might.

Now's the time to know your rights
Not the ones made by the men in tights
But the ones that shine a light
The darkness that dwells here
Knows it's end is always looming near
All the evil that we face is dying
And will go by way of grace.

So do not fear which will end
Don't join in and play pretend
Be the being you were made to be

Say a prayer with me

For God loves you
You're not alone
His love will bring you home
I chose faith, I pray you do to
For He loves all even those like you
The war we battle is not yet through
Even if they make it out to be true
His truth is the only truth that matters
So take a breath and breathe in His glory
Remember His story
Keep on moving and listening
Know that he will come again
Your not alone he has not forsaken
and one day you will rise and be taken.
