Rat King Cocaine Poem by Tanner Herndon

Rat King Cocaine

Hoarfrost coats all white, as if the world was sprinkled with cocaine,
In nature, the snow remains clean and untouched,
In cities and towns alike, we turn it a decaying black,
Nothing is safe from our ugly touch,
Not even Humans themselves, can be saved,
Mankind is its own worst enemy,
So who will save us when we cry for help?
Nobody.
We did this to ourselves, and deserve nothing short of Extinction,
Let us be the dinosaurs, this time,
And let free a world deserving of peace,
We've faltered one too many times,
And there is no coming back from this,
We're monsters, who create monsters and scream for help, when turned on,
Shameful, vile, disgusting and stupid beings,
We deserve not even Death, for that would be a blessing,
We deserve to live on forever, in our own filth that we created,
In madness, we created this rotten bed, and now, we must lie in it.
It's a wonder our tails haven't yet entwined,
After all, we are all a bunch of rats,
We're just waiting to be crowned King.
