Raven Colored Tar Poem by Adrianna La Flash

Raven Colored Tar

She danced one water
When she had a fix
Her mood climbed into the skies
Bouncing from cloud, to fluffy cloud

In her eyes the black tar was kissing the lips of the creator
It was an exit to the constant crushing terror that was her life
But as its color turned from the color of raven feathers to the lightest shades of grey in her veins, her clouds began to drift further and further until she leaped her final

Begining to cascade into the Earth
Her body spinning
Her hands desperately grasping at simple air, that had no Saving ability
As always she picked up velocity with every inch she fell

Down
Down
Down

Until finally she collided into the ground with such force she split that world in two
Then earth consumes her broken soul, her wounded body

And suddenly repairs itself
Leaving no trace of her destruction

Her memory left only in the hearts of those who knew her
Before,
Before the sorrow, before the pipes and ugly needles
Before she found she believed was the only cure to the agony
Her melted black tar
