Reach Out

You’re dismal sad hung out and dry
Intolerant and weak
With saddened heart you wonder why
Your lamp has sprung a leak

Life’s precious oil seems all dried up
You fear your soul may die
Drained is the praise and worship cup
You’d offer God on high

Central is Christ and church no more
Gone is the joy inside?
Now peace has sailed to foreign shore
Frustration cannot hide

Its hard to kneel, its hard to pray
Life is of grave concern
What can you do what can you say?
How can the love return?

We hear it spoken everywhere
Where Christians come to meet
A time with God we need to share
Beside our Saviour’s feet

Life’s cup of peace we need to fill
We need to seek The Light
Calling a friend who’s burning still
Can make love’s fire ignite

Consider life and where you are
Look deep inside and see
Cry out and touch The Morning Star
And set your spirit free

Our God is faithful always true
His love is ever near
Waiting to bless and comfort you
And dry your every tear
