Reality Poem by Skylark Woodrow

Reality

Rating: 5.0

You say it isn't real.
That I'm just making up stories.
But this is what I feel.
How can it not be real?
I tell you what's going on,
I try to let you know;
But you disregard it all.
Tell me it's all in my head.
Yes it's in my head!
This is what's happening in my life,
This is my emotional response to it all,
Just because you don't feel this way or perceive things the way I do doesn't make it any less real to me.
It doesn't mean I'm lying or "telling stories",
It means that you see things differently and are unable to look at them from a different perspective.
Don't tell me that this isn't real when it's something you just don't understand.
