Red Roses Poem by Michelle Gabriella Vergottini

Red Roses

Never knew you were killing me
Thought you were the one
Yet still I sit and wonder
How far had you gone

One day left
Other day right
Mark on my cheek
Just another fight

Roses so red
Blood you’ve shed
Apologies were made
So I stayed

Now I sit with a broken hand
Crying my way through a broken land
I cannot leave you
This I can see

For all I have are apologies
Promises made to me
