Red Swarm Poem by Jarrod Plantagenet

Red Swarm

Daily grind
Nine to five
Working class brutes
White collar
Buttoned down
Double breasted suits
Business as usual
Bees buzzing busily
Makes my head spin doctored
With mundane monotony
Every last drone
Enslaved by the queen
Stinging soldiers flown
Somnambulsticly
Worker bees can leave
Preprogrammed autonomy
Keeps them coming back
To feed the colony
Oh no you got me
I'm caught up in the swarm
To make the ends meet
I formulate my form
Attention!
Comrades!
All fall in line
Come and pledge
Your allegiance to the hive
You can and shall obey
God save the queen
Left foot
Right foot
Cadencing
A caste molded clone
Hail the queen upon her throne
Nothing is what you'll own
Fingers ground to the bone

Red Swarm
