Redemption Son Poem by john mcleish

Redemption Son

when we meet
you'll begin
where did ye go
where hay ye been

and i will say
we' tears in my eyes
forgive me child
my absence my lies

you'll respond
the past is past
we hay grown
time moves fast

i'll reply
redemption son
fur a' my wrongs
look what i've done

you'll shrug yur shoulders
and walk away
as i once did
only yesterday

i'll call oot
but it's too late
fur you've a'ready gone
and forgotten me
