Reflections In The Mirror: The Dichotomy Of Self Poem by Lilith Van'Nightinveil

Reflections In The Mirror: The Dichotomy Of Self

In the depths of a double-sided mirror's gaze,
Two souls entwined, a fascinating maze,
Unseen and unheard, the reflections collide,
With memories as witnesses, they cannot hide.

On one side, the image stands unfamiliar, unknown,
Lost amidst time's currents that ceaselessly have flown,
Eyes seek recognition, searching for a trace,
But the face that stares back holds a different space.

Through the looking glass, a perplexing divide,
Two worlds intertwining, secrets they confide,
One sees a stranger, a puzzle unresolved,
Yet the heart quickens, intrigued and involved.

Shared memories bridge the chasm apart,
Threads of connection, weaving soul to heart,
Emotions unfurl like tendrils of familiarity,
A silent language, speaking with clarity.

In the reflection's depths, stories intertwine,
Whispering echoes of a parallel design,
One view, the known; the other, a mystery,
Two versions of self, locked in synergy.

The eyes on either side, searching deep within,
Merging perceptions, where truth does begin,
For sight fails to capture the essence that binds,
It's the memories shared, eternally aligned.

Mirror, reveal the truth hidden from view,
The resemblance obscured, yet the soul breaks through,
Through this dance of duality, woven so fine,
Recognition discovered beyond the confines.

As reflections peek through the double-sided glass,
Identity entwines, like threads in a tapestry vast,
The separate selves merge, a surreal embrace,
Discovering the beauty in their mirrored space.

So in that double-sided mirror's profound stare,
Unrecognizable by sight, but memories declare,
The truth of who we are, in this reflection rare,
A symphony of two souls, forever meant to share.
