Release Poem by jan fuentez

Release

Every dropp of rain that falls
Seems like years that gone before
A face seemed unclear to
Slowly starting to appear
Now I freely see what is it
Watching from afar, now I get
Hearing the voice of the past
With birds singing a lullabye
There you were in the midst of goodbye
Shedding tears I managed to keep
Dropping one by one, the aching so deep
Can't hold you anymore, not even the tips of your finger
So smooth that was, wanting to linger
I need to accept the fact in me
You're no longer be mine eternally
Just a mere wish I long to have in my dreams
And in my sleep the thought gaily beams
Simply can not hold you tightly
May now release you fairly
