Remembering Baby Peter Poem by George Coomb

Remembering Baby Peter

Remembering Baby Peter

final act of terror
baby killed
broken as a
dead autumn twig
now returned
to nature
where he rests
peaceful like
still water
your death
tore at humanity
a child, a bread
from angels
ripped
discarded
now gone,
happy in creation
away from those
walking by
on the other side
