Repent Of Foolishness

Beware dear friends of what you seek
Shadows of all mankind
Danger for strength hope for the weak
When Truth perhaps you find

Beware dear friends of stories told
Be not the devil’s tool
Hills full silver mountains full gold
Await a blinded fool

Unless you know unless you see
Unless you come to feel
Unless you have some guarantee
You can’t believe Christ real

Wonders and miracles seek the Jew
May strengthen a thirsty soul
Paths to knowledge gentiles pursue
With wisdom their fervent goal

Such wood and straw are bagatelle
They’ll satisfy desire
But lead from God and straight to hell
And endless pit of fire

Consult the stars not in the sky
True futures can’t be sold
Buy wisdom from The Lord on high
And knowledge free of gold

Lift up to God each tarnished hand
Expose your shameful soul
Give Christ your heart and understand
That love can make you whole

Go spend yourself on fellow man
Rejoice when all is spent
Fulfilling thus The Father’s plan
Will help you to repent
