Repentance Poem by Neil Crawford

Repentance

Scenes of odd consistency,

spent feathers on a breaking wave

hint at unravelling paradox.

In these corners claimed by silence

on the edge of nature's miracle

there is but one sad voice.

The tongueless voice of a tired penitent

eager for an end, now quite beyond

a bold enthusiasm.
