Retribution Poem by Raymond Garfield Dandridge

Retribution

Rent and bleeding,
Upon her knees
She cried, 'Mercy!'
The voice of Justice,
Mockingly, inquired,
'What of mercy have you shown?'
Four hundred thousand,
Armless colonists,
Raised nubs—grim evidence.
