Return To God

“For many years there’s hardly rain
We eat what we can find
We have no means to buy more grain
Nor food of any kind

“We’ve nought to eat” the women cry
“We’re cursed and have the pest
Within our arms our infants die
No milk is in our breast

My sons last week both past away
One two years old and three
My husband died just yesterday
Now left is only me

Where is this God we hear about?
Who meets His children’s need
Can Christ bring rain to end this drought?
So we can grow life’s seed”

“The answer's found on bended knee
Seeking The Truth in prayer
Who'll heed Salvation’s Royal decree
Who show how much they care

Who from their selfish ways depart
Who Heaven's Way pursue
Who love the Lord within their heart
Who love their neighbours too

God’s promises, are here and now
For all who'll understand
Before the Living Christ who'll bow
Whilst grace, is still at hand

Too long mankind has gone astray
Too long man’s sought but strife
It’s time to walk Christ Jesus’ Way
The only Way to life”
