Return To The Deep

How shallow are the thoughts of man?
How evil grow his deeds?
What has The Lord reserved in plan?
What future, have the weeds?

How simple life has now become
Church sermons grow more weak
Has God struck current prophets dumb?
Is truth no more to speak?

Through history, truth was plain to see
The fear of God was great
His children kept each royal decree
Dreading a burning fate

We must return God’s word to preach
Return, who’ve gone astray
Return in truth, and then to teach
The values of His way

Though some may cry, and call alarm
Others may shrug and doubt –Jer.8: 11
Saying the truth can cause such harm
Can keep God’s children out!

Yet in the past, when truth was taught –Heb.12: 5-8
When then! God’s will was done
When plain God’s word to man was brought
Did then! His children run?

But Satan seeks to keep us down
Control the things we do
He’d rob the bride of life and crown
He’d kill the chosen few

We need to seize the devil’s rod –Mt.16: 19
Remove him from the fold –Jas.4: 7
Return to just, the ways of God –Mt.22: 27-40
And do “ALL” Jesus told…
