Return To The Realm Of Humanity Poem by Mystic Qalandar

Return To The Realm Of Humanity

A spider's web veiled the cave's mouth—
a curtain, a barrier set before them,
shielding Truth's confidant from Falsehood's gaze.

The walls glowed with the Light of Eternity,
as though the verse—
Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth—
had seeped into their ancient stone.

A friend's hand rested on a friend's chest—
soft as the fruit of Paradise—
a silent allusion to that Forbidden Tree
whose Gardener is the Lord of Eden.

From the heart of the cave rose four rivers' hymns—
of honey, milk, pure wine, and water—
whispering through the darkness,
while birds of Paradise circled above,
lost in tasbīh, a living psalm:
All that is in the heavens glorifies Him.

Behind silence's veil,
houris sang their hidden love-songs in unseen tents,
their voices threading hearts
with the needle of Divine Remembrance—
weaving the soul's garment
from the secret threads of dhikr.

This was the cave
emptied of ego's demons and desire's clamor.
Against the weight of worldly want,
the hermit's peace—
anchored in Allah's wordless, soundless remembrance,
breathing the fragrance of
Remember your Lord humbly within your soul—
became his unshakable sanctuary.

Then—
a smile blossomed on the hermit's lips.
He stepped forth, inhaling God's breath:
from the summit of Hāhūt's heights,
through the arc of Nāsūt's return—
as Alim, as Hakim—
Adam's heir, who knew
the names of all things—
the Perfect Man.
