Ride To Work Poem by Jamie Loughlin

Ride To Work

Rating: 5.0

I took a ride to work one day
And long indeed it was
but somehow when it ended
it felt like time had barely passed.

It started with a field of flowers
Along my way to work
The flowers were so green to me
And they smiled with bright flirt.

I passed an ocean rough and wild
Battling the sky above it
It seemed to me that the flowers I'd seen
would not stand well against it.

Along the road, I almost paused
when I realized I had gone in a circle
The flowers I had seen before
Were the color of a dead purple.
