Right Here Poem by Ken Barrett

Right Here

The upside of down, the downside of up,
And everywhere in between.
Can't go forward without going backward,
From all the horrors that I've seen.
The inside of out, the outside of in,
My mind plays tricks on me.
When I go right, I'm really going left,
Stuck in this trap, I cannot flee.
Running in circles, but staying in place,
My feet don't know where to begin.
I can't finish what I don't start,
So I'm kept locked within.
Don't know if I'm coming or going,
So right here is where I'll stay.
Can't see the future, without looking at the past,
Trying to find a better way.
