Righteousness Attaining

If righteousness through works is won
Holiness deeds attain
Futile suffered God’s Lamb & Son
His dreadful death in vain

But through the righteousness of Christ
Singing His holy song
Obeying whom God sacrificed
Revealing we belong

By serving The risen Jesus
Walking in His might
Living to Him who sees us
Fighting our righteous fight

Because of wayward confusion
Failing true obedience
Creating a false illusion
Of righteous ingredients

While truth endures each stormy blast
Where falsehood cannot stand
We thus remain erect and fast
Within The Master’s hand

But fools will doubt these awesome facts?
Today and evermore
No righteous deeds, nor holy acts
Will lead through Heaven’s Door

Only in knowing our personal King
His Son & heir believing
Him Holy fruits, alone to bring
And never deceiving

Obeying thus we flee from hell
From death all chains we sever
Walking, living and serving well
So will we live forever………..
