Ringing Hollow Poem by Josh Rodriguez

Ringing Hollow

i haven’t been inspired
to write much lately,

and most of what
i’ve forced myself
to write has been
lackluster.

all i’ve been
doing is
staring at
the horizon
and smoking
cheap cigarettes

and

hoping that
there is some
kind of respite
where the sun
is stowed away
to sleep,

and that maybe
there is room
for two.
