Rise above material that does not define thee,
Rise above material that does not define me.
I rise to comfort i rise to stability,
I rise to the highest to my ability.
Im feeling undefeated at this point with my succession,
Made a couple of mistakes but i focus on progression.
My mind is alert a future is in my path,
Im provided with knowledge that im very greatful i have.
Pass me some nikes could care less about the gucci,
Keep the keys to the benz ill take the keys to the hooptie.
I promised them a better place a better home and school system,
Cant watch my little nieces do wrong and fall victim.
I rise above material that does not define me,
I rise above material for Esscence and Imani.
