Rise Poem by Minnie Gehrig

Rise

Rise Goddess Rise,
bring us back again
to the tip of your breast
that we may feed on your love and remember who we are,

the Earth is Raped,
The people are starving
but they know not what they hunger for,

I know you like the face in the mirror
sometimes my own and sometimes not,
I see your anger and sadness
But only feel your love,

Rise Goddess Rise
wheather healing or wrathfull
Into the blood red rising or setting sun,
Come upon us once more,
So all man may remeber there Mother,

The trees are screaming,
The water is tainted
The dessert sand runs red with blood,
Somewhere a warrior is crying
For a life that wasnt his for the taking,

Rise Goddess Rise
For I am tired of birthing and rebirthing into this angry world
I would go back in time
and hunt with artemis
Under the blue moon
and love you
as we all once did.
