Rise (A Tribute To The Works And Mind Of Eric Cockrell) Poem by Kevin Patrick

Rise (A Tribute To The Works And Mind Of Eric Cockrell)

Rising from the cracks of societies pavement
I seethe with a fury against all the masses
Tearing the fabric of civilities surface
With honest objectives to strike all the classes
Against the group thought of online pollution
Where the soul is a slave to the majority
And ideologies cancer twists thoughts of reason
For a mind that is free can know its serenity

And rise, and rise and rise

For to die for a cause, is the business of war
And Life is the price for free market industry
To a serve a nation to spread damnation
For a power and profit fuel the dead of history
From Lords and nobles, to CEO's and Shareholders
Names change but the puppeteers are the same
And the innocent scream on heels of their masters
Only the fool is free from the wheel of times game

To rise and rise and rise

Black or white, it doesn't matter whose right
We all weep in scarlet and die with born dread
And if you should fall going right or to left
You'll end up fixed with a straightjacket head
For a man with blind fire is stuck in a pyre
And will never share love with his brother
But he with the soul, and the power to let go
Will rise to find peace with him and the other

So rise, and rise and rise
