Rise Africa
From the filthy mud of ignorance
To the beautiful rock of knowledge
And reach forth for your glory
For faded away is your story
And dwindling along is your history

Rise Africa
Wake from your drowsiness
And make your children great
So that you can be among the great continents

Rise Africa
Rise tall and reach for the sky
Because now you need to be high
High enough to be great
And attain the great height

Rise Africa,
And bring back to life your culture
Weld together all the fracture
To bring together your children in peace
So as to be one large piece
And not scattered around in useless pieces

Rise Africa
And fight together against a mighty foe
So that your children will not stand akimbo
And look at the woe
