Rising Tide Poem by the prolific penman

Rising Tide

It was never grand or insignificant, just somewhere in between.
Narrow and light, my ego would surely sink if it were a ship.
It wasn't the true reflection of a noble king, easily fitting into the smallest box.

Then you came along, building up the weak parts,
Slowly making it strong. I see now,
I am more than anyone can handle or touch.
Once humble and quiet, afraid of stepping out of place,
Concerned with what others thought.

But your gentle encouragement changed me forever.
Now, there is nothing I won't try, even stepping away from dark lies
To live in truthful light. I grew so much inside, all because of you.

Your support transformed my fragile ego, showing me
All that I was missing and all that I could be.
You made me braver than I was before,
Helping me regain control of my destiny.

This may seem small to you, but it's enormous to me.
How the love of a woman could raise my ego.
Now it's a grand ship, worthy of sailing across any of life's seas,
Ready to take on anything, all because of you and the boost you gave
To my once weakened ego.
