River Flows Downstream Poem by Jake Tadla

River Flows Downstream

Once, twice... a hundred...
Even a thousand times before.
But among countless trips,
I never had one like this.

Reflections of the starry sky
Shine like precious diamond.
Your eyes possess the glitters
I have been longing for.

Heaven smiles upon me
Answered my every single prayer.
It was you, you granted them all.
Raindrops kept falling.

I'm one of the heavily laiden
Yet your smile seems magic.
Loads floated as feathers;
Made me inhaled deep and smiled back.

Only a little commotion is visible;
Water's never been so calm.
Presence of a heavenly deity
Whispered through the water rage.

A sense of wanting for myself;
Capabilities heightened to maturity.
Boyish charms all gone by
As if I had one all the time.

But the river always flow downstream
And washes away impurities.
Never will it go back again
To say hello and stop to talk for a while.

Final destination is the sea;
A wider scope of intelligibility,
A deeper sense of wisdom,
And a hundred more doors to open.

Droplets like you passes by
but I know we're still on the same plane.
You're a single part of me
As I am to you, I hope so.

You will be with other waters
And I'll be with some others, too
But the sky is always above us
Covering all our wildest dreams.

As long as clovers continue to grow
And fishes swim the sea
I'll always wait for heaven
To guide your way to me.
