Riverscape Poem by Upendra Majhi

Riverscape

The sun went down the hill,
and the hill went crimson-pink,
waterbird pecked his love in the air,
black-green-grey shadows of waterweeds on Desai creek,
pink daffodil swinging in creekwind, on rock island
blackbird dived deep, its last dive of the day
darkness migrating from my village descended in Pallava,
soul of the hill navigating well in the ethereal sky
merged with the birds" love- play.
